My first visit to Mouette12 studio was a delightful experience. Elsa greeted me with a warm smile and led me through a beautiful garden to her studio, a spaced filled with calm and serenity. The pottery wheel was placed near the window, while the kiln was at the opposite end. A central blue table, an original lamp adorned with natural motifs, and an antique glass cabinet housing some “treasures” complemented the space. I appreciated the simplicity and natural elegance of her pieces, displayed on shelves and decorated with flowers from her garden, all in perfect harmony.
As Elsa talked about her creative process, what inspires her and the pieces she designs, I could feel her passion, enthusiasm and the joy her work brings her every day. Her energy was contagious, and it reinforced my belief in the value of surrounding ourselves with simple, unique pieces that embody a fragment of their creator’s soul and enrich our lives.
