My first Yano Yoro piece: Thanks to my friend Raquel from A Coruña, I discovered Yano Yoro. Upon seeing the photos of her pieces, I was captivated by their sensitivity and beauty. I decided to reach out to Susana Llorente, the artist behind Yano Yoro, and took advantage of my summer vacation to visit her. Meeting her in person was a pleasure. I heard her story, learned the details of her technique, and had the chance to see and touch her porcelain pieces and paintings.
I returned home with one of her porcelain pendants in my suitcase, decorated with bamboo. It serves as a reminder to lift my head when adversity knocks me down. I hope you like it as much as I do!
