I’ve always had a deep curiosity for finding unique objects that express who I am, alongside a great admiration for creativity in all its forms, from art to fashion and design.
Reflecting on my past, I realized my quest for uniqueness began in school. The school uniform, though practical for saving time each morning, with its blue skirt and sweater, white polo, and black loafers, made us all look the same, erasing the possibility of showing our individual personalities.
That’s when I started searching for small hair accessories and decorating my books to make them stand out and reflect my uniqueness.
I also thought about the teachers who left a lasting impression on me. The ones who first came to mind were my art and English teachers, even though math was my favorite subject. Undoubtedly, their special character, their insistence on adding a touch of originality to our work and their unique teaching methods made them unforgettable.
Over time, my interest in originality led me to visit small shops, galleries, and explore ateliers to get to know the creation process and, most importantly, to meet the artisans and artists behind the pieces. And that’s where the spark ignited!
Discovering their source of inspiration and knowing the story behind each work made me create a special bond with the pieces I saw and, whenever possible, purchased. At the same time, my enthusiasm for sharing these experiences with others grew, starting with my friends.
Gradually, I realized that this was my passion: discovering artists and artisans, learning their stories, and sharing my findings. Helping those who, like me, want to feel unique and enjoy exclusive pieces that not only enhance personal style and home decor but also add a touch of exclusivity and warmth.
Now, driven by passion and life’s unexpected challenges, I have created Belma Craft & Art.
