Description
The hand-painted San Remo foulard is an exclusive piece from the Marilín collection, crafted in natural satin Georgette silk—a lightweight fabric known for its delicate transparency and beautiful drape. As a natural fabric, it feels fresh and soft against the skin, offering exceptional comfort.
Each foulard is unique, the result of a meticulous craftsmanship in the workshop of Margaret de Arcos. From the original design and hand-painting on silk to steam-setting, ironing and hand-sewn finishing, every step is done by hand to achieve an impeccable result.
Lightweight and versatile, it has no front or back, allowing you to wear it in multiple ways and adapt it to any occasion. Whether you’re strolling by the sea, dressing up for an evening out, or elevating your everyday outfit, the San Remo foulard adds a timeless touch of elegance, colour and expression.
Its design captures the charm of the Italian Riviera: white houses with terracotta roofs descending toward the sea, framed by lush hills and Mediterranean greenery. Earthy tones of green, blue, ochre, and rust evoke a blend of nature, art and nostalgia.
Inspired by the honeymoon journey of Camila Puya de Arcos’s grandparents in the spring of 1953, the Marilín collection is filled with romance, refinement and vintage-inspired design that capture the spirit of an unforgettable voyage across the Mediterranean.

My visit to the workshop of Margaret de Arcos: It was my friend Rocío, a Sevillian with whom I share experiences here in the Netherlands, who first told me about this artisanal brand. After an initial conversation with Ángelo, the commercial director, I had the chance to visit their beautiful workshop in the heart of Seville.
The moment I stepped inside, I was immersed in a space full of colour and creativity—every corner reflected a true passion for silk and design. I was especially struck by the craftsmanship with which Camila creates each piece, expressing quiet luxury and natural elegance. Over coffee, it was inspiring to hear the brand’s story firsthand and learn about their current projects. I left the studio with a fan and a foulard from the Floral collection—its vibrant greens, blues, and yellows still remind me of that visit.
Now I’m trying to decide which piece to choose from the Marilín collection.

The advice of Belma Craft & Art
There’s no right way to wear the Monaco foulard — style it intuitively and wear it with complete freedom. Let your look breathe lightness and freshness, without worrying about perfect folds or precise placement. placement. Pair it with neutral tones — like white, beige, navy or olive green — and let its coastal design and vibrant colours speak for themselves. Make it your own.
